Euchre Creek Bridge (US 101)

Curry Favorite

Euchre Creek Bridge located on US 101, a 28-foot wide reinforced-concrete box girder bridge whose central beam sits on ten steel posts, is the only bridge of its type along the coast. Constructed in 2009, and one of the newer bridges along the coast as of this writing, this unusual beam bridge demonstrates how a simple design can sometimes display unusual qualities. It also reflects the special attention ODOT’s Bridge Engineering Section now pays even to smaller bridges, especially along the coast.
